Suzanne Mackenzie

Suzanne’s main areas of practice are Corporate and Commercial and Financial Services (including superannuation). She also has extensive experience in a wide range of corporate and commercial matters.

Suzanne has played a lead role in advising on and managing:

• many large transactions, including various forms of capital raisings, privatisations, MBO’s, international divestitures, share buy‑backs and other sales and acquisitions of businesses and shares;
• significant outsourcing contracts across a range of industries, including financial services, transport and wine.

She has particular expertise in the following areas:

• legislative compliance
• corporate governance
• APRA licensing and registration
• ASIC licensing and other applications
• AML/CTF
• dealings with industry regulators
• investment management and custodial arrangements
• life insurance
• trustee liability insurance and other indemnity schemes
• superannuation taxation matters, including superannuation guarantee
• litigation involving technical and complex superannuation and taxation matters
• self managed superannuation

Suzanne is a member of the Superannuation Committee of the Law Council of Australia and the Superannuation Committee of the Taxation Institute of Australia.
